Annual work plans

Last updated: 7 Jul 2025

The Inspector-General of Water Compliance must prepare annual work plans. Annual work plans set key outcomes and priorities for the next financial year. They are required under the Water Act 2007 (Cth).

The Water Act(Opens in a new tab/window) also requires that the Inspector-General review work plans at least once a year. This review ensures priorities are still relevant and achievable.

Annual work plans are different to annual reports, which sum up how the agency has worked over the previous year.
